Navigating Gendered Practices in Work-Life. Career workshop by Women of Aalto and Career Design Lab.
Co-create a space for empowerment and honest conversations together with successful Aalto Alumni from the fields of Business, Design, and Engineering.
In the first part, Dr. Saija Katila will shed light on gender differences in the workplace and uncover hidden biases. In the second part, WOA hosts a panel discussion with alumni about their unique professional journeys as women or non-binary people.

The event is open to all Aalto students who identify as female or non-binary.
Part 1: "Awareness"
Conducted by Dr. Saija Katila, Adjunct Professor at Aalto University and the University of Eastern Finland Dr. Saija Katila, our expert, will shed light on gender differences in the workplace, uncover hidden biases, and explore how organizations sometimes treat men and women differently. By the end of this workshop, you'll have a deeper understanding of the challenges that women may encounter when they begin their careers.
About Saija: She is a leading expert in practice-based theories of organizing. Dr. Katila's research enters on practices of inclusion and exclusion across various domains, with a special emphasis on gender and diversity issues. She is an associate editor for "Gender, Work, and Organization," an editorial board member for "Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion," and a board member of Hilma, the national gender studies network.

Part 2: Alumni Mentoring Session: "Allies"
